Welcome to Troop 44's web site designed to make communication faster and easier for our families. Monthly newsletters, calendars and permission slips are all published here along with a lot of other useful information. Weekly meeting plans are sent to every Scout via email and also posted here.
Troop 44 has been chartered to St. Paul Presbyterian Church for 40 years and we meet weekly on Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the church. We currently have between 50 and 60 registered Scouts and about the same number of adults participating as leaders or committee members.

Would anyone from Troop 44 be interested in getting the light and presenting it at our 5:00 and/or 9:00 PM Christmas Eve services? We would then use the light to light our Advent wreath. You would have to keep it lit until December 24 services.

Iditarod, 2015

The Iditarod event will be hosted by Troop 44 at the Pavilion at Camp Dodge (the old shower house building has been remodeled).
This event is a competitive one between the troops that attend and is heavily based on teamwork and Scout skills. In the morning on Saturday, Scouts will take part in an instructional round-robin including:

Railroad Camporee, May, 2015

On May 8 - 10, 2015, Troop 44 has scheduled a trip to Boone for the Railroad Merit Badge Camporee. Because this is a Council event, open to other Councils as well and has been very popular in the past, it is important that we register as a troop very early and the registration process is now open.
