Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 44's web site designed to make communication faster and easier for our families. Monthly newsletters, calendars and permission slips are all published here along with a lot of other useful information. Weekly meeting plans are sent to every Scout via email and also posted here.
Troop 44 has been chartered to St. Paul Presbyterian Church for 43 years and we meet weekly on Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the church. We currently have between 40 and 50 registered Scouts and about the same number of adults participating as leaders or committee members.
The site is protected for the benefit of our Scouts. Please use the 'contact us' function if you need more information.

Posted on Jun 26 2016 - 8:26pm

A week of summer camp, a year in the planning process is now over. Good or bad, the week went by quickly and we are moving forward with other activities. One of the things we do, both youth and adults, is evaluate the experience and some of that will be shared, but first some business we need to take care of:

Day 5 - our last full day

Posted on Jun 24 2016 - 9:45am

Our last day and we are sad to be leaving here tomorrow.
Michael and Andrew kept their winning streak going yesterday with a victory at trivia and whole lot more competition, so they made a clean sweep.

Day 4

Posted on Jun 23 2016 - 9:28am

A beautiful day in the neighborhood and another break from the heat. It was toasty yesterday afternoon but we are drinking plenty of water and have had no problems.

Day 3 Wednesday

Posted on Jun 22 2016 - 9:24am

No rain for us yesterday and most of the mud from the night before is now dry. Shoes are still muddy though and we are tracking it through the shower house. Every troop gets to clean it, a mammoth job we get to do on Friday.

Our first news from

Posted on Jun 21 2016 - 9:52am

Your first news from lovely Camp Cedars, home of hot temperatures and steamy days. Actually, we got a reprieve yesterday with a lovely cool and cloudy day which was perfect after the sweat of Sunday. A thunderstorm last night brings us back into heat for today and the rest of the week. They had 8" of rain here Friday night, fields are flooded and there is plenty of mud.
