Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 44's web site designed to make communication faster and easier for our families. Monthly newsletters, calendars and permission slips are all published here along with a lot of other useful information. Weekly meeting plans are sent to every Scout via email and also posted here.
Troop 44 has been chartered to St. Paul Presbyterian Church for 40 years and we meet weekly on Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the church. We currently have between 50 and 60 registered Scouts and about the same number of adults participating as leaders or committee members.
The site is protected for the benefit of our Scouts. Please use the 'contact us' function if you need more information.

Sleep in or don’t, but we are moving greenery pick-up to 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. This is a very wet, heavy snow, it is going to take you some time to dig out of your own driveways and the wind is already beginning to blow. They are not starting on the church parking lot until 9:00 and we will have to shovel out the front of the garage too.

The meat is thawing, the cooks preparing chili and homemade soup for tomorrow night’s Court of Honor. Unfortunately, the weather has taken a turn towards winter and by the weekend, we will have seen some snow. The drop in temperature is good for the greenery though and it has arrived. Distribution is set for Saturday, 8:00 – Noon.

Mr. L. is now gone for six weeks to Yellowstone to volunteer as a guide and will not be back until November. All Scouts who took the flight and finished their workbooks are complete with Aviation. There are three Scouts who did not get to fly and may have to wait until spring at this point.
