The correct name of the organization is Johnston Troop 44 and Pack 244 Friends of Scouting. The EIN is 20-5962672. All donations to this organization are tax-free. You may also specify a direct use by contacting a member of the Board in writing with your desire to contribute to the garage project, scholarships or to the general fund.

Catholic Religious Awards

Posted on Sep 13 2011 - 8:58am

Attached is a brochure and letter from the Catholic Des Moines Diocese regarding religious awards available to youth and adults from the Catholic church. If you are interested in pursuing any of these, you need to contact the Diocese directly at the information given in the letter. While Scouting recognizes religious awards in the form of a knot worn on the uniform, the church oversees the training and emblem presentations.
